Traffic Troubles Mickey Mouse Black and White Production Cel (Walt Disney, 1931). Mickey Mouse has some difficulty getting his passenger Percy Pig through a pothole-filled street in serious need of some repairs. In this ultra-rare hand-inked, hand-painted production cel. This Burt Gillett-directed short was the twenty-sixth Mickey Mouse cartoon to be released; it was first shown in theaters on 3/7/1931.

This scene with Mickey trying to dodge the holes in the road occurs at about the 2:26 mark. This historical hand-painted and hand-inked cel has been professionally restored, trimmed to image, and placed on a new blank sheet of acetate.

This fabulous image of Mickey in his cab measures 4.5" x 3.25", while the new acetate sheet measures 20" x 13.5". Is one of Disney's early cartoons featured at the Main Street Cinema in Disneyland.

In the early 1930s at Disney, cels were generally washed off after being photographed and re-used to save on production costs. Because of this, very few cels from this period have survived, making black and white cels from this era of Disney a true treasure! The background is a print from another early Mickey short, added for presentation purposes. The condition is Very Good.
