Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs Dopey Production Cel Walt Disney 1937
This is a beautiful piece of animation art history from the absolutely wonderful and groundbreaking film: Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (Walt Disney, 1937). This piece features Dopey in a beautiful pose while playing instruments during a key scene in the move around the 54 minutes and 24 second mark, when the dwarfs sing the Yodel song. Although it's not the full setup with the Courvoisier Gallery matting and such, Dopey is over an airbrushed background, and therefore was highly likely to be a Courvoisier Gallery setup. Dopey has an imperfection on his head (missing paint). Cracking / a touch of missing paint on his hands. Some missing paint on the instrument on the right side. Despite the imperfections, the piece displays well and is a joy to look at. The dimensions of the piece are approximately: 7 inches x 7.5 inches. The Dimensions of Dopey are approximately: 3.75 inches x 4 inches. The Dimensions of the instruments are approximately: 4.25 x 2.5 inches, and 3.25 inches x.
