Hand-Painted, Production Screen-Used Animation Background. With Disney-Created Presentation Cel of Ratcliffe. From Walt Disney's 1995 Feature Film. Comes with a Charles Scott Gallery Certificate of Authenticity and Studio Seal. Pocahontas was Walt Disney's 33rd feature film, released in 1995 and was considered to be part of the Disney Renaissance.

It was co-directed by Eric Goldberg (along with Mike Gabriel) - a huge name in animation and this was his directorial debut. The movie received two academy awards! In the 1990's, Sotheby's and Disney worked together to hold auctions of original artwork used in the Disney Renaissance films. Since cels were no longer being used to animate the characters (computers were being used) Disney created hand-painted presentation cels that matched the image on the screen when these backgrounds were used.

This has a slightly older (but sturdy) frame with plexiglass. Frame has slight nicks, etc. Reflection in photo is not on the plexi in real life.
