Pinocchio Original Production Cel Walt Disney 1940

Hand-inked and hand-painted ORIGINAL production cel is a remarkable piece of animation history. Pinocchio is on a 12 field 5-peghole nitrate cel that is labeled Seq 4-9, Sc. 14" in the bottom left and "10 in the bottom right. Pinocchio "stands" approximately 3.5 tall on this cel.

There is some paint separation in the shorts and face, but no paint loss. This is beautifully displayed along with an original background painting recreating the moment in the film when Pinocchio panics upon seeing the blue fairy returning to rescue him from Stromboli's hanging cage. Then proceeds to "hide" from the situation. This moment can be seen at the. Frame measures 17 1/2 x 14 1/2 with matted image measuring 7 x 5 1/2.
