Episodes of the infamous/ beloved Popeye the Sailor TV series were farmed out to a number of studios, and this particular one was produced by Disney veteran Jack Kinney and directed by Ken Hultgren. This is an unusually huge image for a production cel, see matching screengrab above, 1m40s into the short, where Wimpy wakes from being asleep on the lookout for British troops. Condition: O verall nice shape, standard wear for 60+ year old production art; most significantly, some of the black gouache on Wimpy's boots (which was painted on the front of the cel to avoid glare) has fallen off (please examine photos), but it doesn't detract much from this great image.
