Goliath II Owl Original Production Animation Cel from Walt Disney 1960 8

This short was nominated for an Academy Award! Comes with a Charles Scott Gallery Certificate of Authenticity. A gorgeously detailed cel of the Owl as he's snoozing (see the screen cap we have above)! Even better, the underlying drawing for this cel (not included) was actually taken from Bambi - you can see the exact same pose there (except in Bambi the owl has brown feet).

It's a sort of well-known secret that Disney re-used a LOT of animation in fact, another scene of the Owl in Goliath II was reused from Sleeping Beauty! One of the first Disney animated projects to use xerox front lines on the cel, while still hand-painting the back.

The cel measures approximately 16" x 12.5". Actually used in the making of the cartoon and great for collectors or to hang on your wall as nostalgic decoration! Let us send you an invoice.
