DISNEY ORIGINAL PRODUCTION CEL from 1973 Robin Hood, framed "Little John". This is adorable big old "Little John" from the Disney classic Robin Hood. He is obviously in one of his disguises and appears to be holding on to Prince John's cape. This is an authentic production piece of art used in making the movie and is documented by the Disney Production Company and even framed by the Disney company. The Disney stamp is on the bottom right corner of the cel and a document of Authenticity and the artist's hand numbering is on the sturdy back of this professionally framed keepsake.

The cel unfortunately has the issue of having been laminated and shows the all-too-common results of how temperature and humidity affected the failed process, causing wrinkles and creases. The figure of Big John only shows a little waviness because of his thick paint , but the surrounding background has many creases. I deliberately focused 2 of my photos in bright window light so that you could clearly see the wrinkles, one showing the right side of the cel, the other shows the left.

I also show in one photo the artist's paper edge in the upper left corner, which didn't fit under the frame apparently. I like seeing elements of realness like that. The outside of the frame is 16 1/2" by 20 1/2".

The outside of the cel is 14 1/2" by 10 1/2". A narrow peachy-orange lining inside the soft medium brown double matting really gives this colorful collectible a sophisticated punctuation.
