"AERIAL, DISNEY'S "THE LITTLE MERMAID" CEL, POIGNANT MOMENT" Yes, very poignant indeed! This is a production cel, 1 of 1. I don't think that there was a more emotional moment in the entire feature. Scuttle awakens Ariel and Sebastian as he, Scuttle, has just "heard the news". In true Scuttle form, he doesn't have a grasp on the situation. Scuttle tells Ariel that Prince Erik is getting married! Ariel, naturally, assumes that it will be to her. She goes prancing down the stairs to see Eric who, she assumes, will be her new husband only to overhear him saying that he wants to be married to the beautiful Vanessa next to him.

Vanessa is, of course, is Ursula who has Eric under her spell. The expression on Ariel's face added to the body language of this frame is absolutely amazing.

This is what is meant by the adage "A picture is worth a thousand words". I really don't think that any amount of words could convey the emotion shown in this one cel. Add to all this a beautiful new frame, a mat with texturing looking ocean like and fillet to finish off the interior edge of the matting in the most professional way possible and you have a very fine presentation.
