Offered for sale is a rare original 1939 Walt Disney Productions PINOCCHIO Animation Cel. Includes the original Courvoisier background, label and frame. This is a production celluloid / cel as used in the motion picture film. Comes in the original circular mat, with a diameter of 8 inches. The original frame which measures around 14.5 X 15.75 inches. A vibrant image of Pinocchio underwater, as he looks at the seahorses around him. There is 5 separate sea horse animation cels, as part of this setup. On the original Courvoisier painted background of the underwater backdrop. On the front left edge of the mat, is written'Pinocchio' in pencil.
The back of the frame has the original paper Courvoisier label, and a vintage Kennedy Art Gallery Store label. The Art Gallery label has a pencil handwriting greeting on it, gifted to and written'Christmas 1940.
This animation cel setup has been sealed and well protected within its original frame and backing, untouched for over 75+ years. The Pinocchio cel is near pristine condition, clean and with no visible issues.
