Very rare animation cel from Disneys Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. It was obtained by art dealer Guthrie Courvoisier in 1937 after striking a business arrangement with Walt and Roy Disney. The work is hand painted celluloid and features the adorable tortoise that struggled so much to climb the stairs in the film sitting in a pond with a flower atop his head. The background is also hand painted, but is done on the cardboard backing by one of the artists hired by Courvoisier to arrange the art for sale. It measures 16 high by 14 1/2 wide, with the matte window opening being 7 1/2 tall by 7 wide. The color is still gorgeous with no major flaking or image loss. The back features two labels from the Gallery along with some pencil marks for in-house cataloging.

The matting has some minor dirt spots and some damage to the corners. No frame included with sale.
