Donalds Dog Laundry 1940 Original PAN Production Background obg cel Disney Pluto

Large, amazing pan production background from the Disney short, Donald's Dog Laundry (1940). This background (left side) has the first image seen in the cartoon when Donald makes his appearance. The background is over 3 1/2 feet long, and probably over 4 feet long, as the mat opening is 42" x 9", and the framed size is 54" x 16". The pale gouache colors, that are never seen in animation today, have the distinct vintage feel of an 80 year old piece.

Few Disney backgrounds have survived from that era, and pan backgrounds often were cut up to make multiple cel setups. Donald's DOG LAUNDRY 1940.
